I am trying to gather all of the info I can before seeing my accountant at tax time, the last accountant I had left out tax deductable information so I want to know for myself exactly what all I can claim, every detail for a house cleaning business. I am the only employee.

Read IRS Publication 334. That will lead you in the right direction.

First, bring receipts for EVERYTHING that you spent on your business. That inclues things like every receipt book you bought, every cleaner you bought, every ad you bought, every dime you spent on the business. Do you pay an accountant to do your books, that’s deductible. The amount you spent to have the business portion of your taxes done is deductible. So is the cost of your business license.

Hopefully, you’ve kept good records of your travels, because that milage is deductible. Do you have an office or small area at home that you use to keep your records and do your books, then you may be able to deduct some home office expenses.
