I have great advice for this one…check out flylady.com
A friend of mine told me about this website last year. It is free, no strings attached. The “flylady” gives incredibly detail about how to break up all your housework into a workable schedule and how to tackle “big” jobs in 15 minute increments.
I only implemented a few of her ideas and my house stays much more organized and consistently clean. (I also work from home and am a single parent.)
Check out the flylady’s system.

works for me!
I run a property management business out of my home, plus with kids, laundry, dishes, etc.. I take 30 mins before i go to bed to just clean. I pick the worst area and start there. After 30 mins I stop. I do this 6 days a week. Then every other week on the seventh day, (say sunday) I devote 1 hour to deep cleaning, mostly bathrooms, since they are the hardest to keep clean. I hired a cleaning lady to come just once a month for 2 hours, and I start her in my husband’s bathroom. UGGH! If, at the end of the two hours, she didn’t get to dust, oh well. The worst jobs are done.
no way i hate it
